Being able to identify the different tree species present in a woodland or other site is a key skill in being able to manage that site or at least understand what you are seeing.
This Tree Identification and uses course is aimed at those working in woodland, Small woodland owners, and for anyone wanting to learn more about what they see on their woodland walks.
Identify trees in winter

- use clues such as fallen leaves and discuss their
- forestry,
- craft
- ecological uses.
- pests and diseases
OR
Identify trees in Summer using:
- The leaves and fruits as well as the form of the trees
- discuss their forestry,
- craft
- ecological uses.
