Description
Designed around the Gransfors Bruk Small Forest axe (SFA), this sheath is made from full grain bridle finnished shoulder leather from the Finishing house of Metropolitan leather.
We have taken the basic design concept of the original sheath and added our own improvements. These include a fully hand stitching the lower edge to remove any metal from the edge of the axe. We have also added a Sam Brown stud to the strap to makes sure the strap stays closed.
We saddle stitch these sheaths to make sure that they will never come undone, the basic consept is that there is always two stitihes holding any part of the sheath so if one fails the other holds strong.
As with any hand made item there may be slight variations in the leather and the design of the item, this is normal and not a flaw.
