Hope Cuff

Description

Our hope cuff are hand cut from British vegetable tanned shoulder leather, stamped with the word Hope and hand painted these stunning cuffs make a beautiful present for a loved one or  just for you.

As with all of our products our Hope cuff is hand crafted with love in our own workshop, we only use the best quality leather supplied to us from one of Britain’s oldest finishing houses. Once the leather hits the bench the magic starts, we hand cut and finish the cuff using traditional tools and techniques, we then damp the leather and allow the moisture to soak in, called cassing this allows us to apply the decoration. Once cased we us a hand press to apply the lettering to the cuff, then it is time to dry we do this naturally using only the air, this avoids the leather becoming hard. once dry it is time to apply the acrylic paints and then a final finnish with a sealer to protect both the leather and the paint.

The cuffs are around 1” (2.3cm) wide and cut to your required length. The lettering is then stamped into the damp leather leaving a permanent and crisp letter, we then colour the letters with acrylic paint and then an acrylic finish to protect the cuff.
