Hedge laying Taster Days

A basic course in hedge laying teaching the following:

Course covers;

  • Risk assessment,
  • Tool sharpening,
  • Selecting and using stakes and binders,
  • Principles of hedgelaying,
  • Practical hedgelaying.

The course is aimed to giveyou a basic knowledge of the tools and techniques used in hedgelaying, as well as the safety aspects associated with the craft.

The course will be run in our own ancient woodland in the heart of the Hampshire South Downs Nr Clanfield.

Hedge laying Taster Days

Our basic hedge laying taster days are designed to give an insite into the techniques and tools required to lay a hedge. the couse covers all aspects of hedge laying from:

  • Risk assessment,
  • Tool sharpening,
  • Selecting and using stakes and binders,
  • Principles of hedgelaying,
  • Practical hedgelaying.

as outlined above you will learn the basic technique of laying a hedge as well as assessment of risk, tool safety and selection of materials.

This is run as a 1 day course, but 2 day courses can be arranged. Please contact us if this is required before booking.
